We started our year of wedding photography with a bang in March when we had the pleasure of photographing Alisha & Jamie's fantastic wedding at The Chantry Chapel nr Heathfield and afterwards at The Langham Hotel in Eastbourne. The Bride & Groom were getting ready for their big day at The Langham so that's where I joined them for their bridal preparation shots. The weather was very much on their side being dry and bright in Heathfield for the ceremony and some shots afterwards in the pretty garden at The Chantry Chapel and staying dry, if not a bit windy down at the Seafront in Eastbourne for the celebrations at The Langham.
Alisha looked beautiful in a floor length gown with delicate bead work and a low back. Her Bridesmaids looked gorgeous in dark blue dresses with pretty beaded belts and fresh flowers in their hair. Jamie wore a grey suit with a dark blue tie to coordinate with the Bridesmaids and his Groomsmen wore navy blue suits with light blue ties. The whole wedding party coordinated brilliantly when they were all together. Jamie wore a spring, yellow floral button hole.
The couple had decorated The Chantry Chapel with lots of fresh spring flowers and other cute wedding ornamental touches. Every detail had been thought of and the whole theme was very spring vintage. Jamie and the guests arrived at the Chapel in a double decker bus and Alisha in a vintage Jaguar. The ceremony was really lovely and went without a hitch and then it was time for Alisha & Jamie to make their exit as Mr & Mrs. We did some group shots in the garden at the Chapel and then whisked the Bride & Groom off to Hampden Park in Eastbourne for some private shots by the pond.
The guests were all gathered at The Langham Hotel on the Seafront in Eastbourne to greet Alisha & Jamie after their private shots with a welcome glass of fizz. The Langham had been decorated in a contemporary style with navy blue bows on the chairs in the wedding breakfast room and with stylish goldfish bowl and floral centre pieces. Alisha & Jamie had a unique table plan themed around New York (where Jamie proposed!) with the different tables being named after iconic locations in New York.
The speeches were really fun and later a few more guests joined Alisha & Jamie for the evening celebrations and some amazing fireworks out on the beach. The day was so good and a great start to our busy wedding season. We wish Alisha & Jamie all the very best for the happiest life together and thank them for being such a great couple to photograph.
