It was great to be back at the East Sussex National Hotel
& Spa to photograph Ellie & Ollie's beautiful contemporary wedding in
May this year. It was a bit of a changeable day from the point of view of the
weather but this didn't dampen anyone's spirits!
I started the day finding Ellie getting ready in her suite
in the hotel where her 'team bride' were kitted out in matching bathrobes and
Ellie was having her makeup done by Aimee Francis. Ellie wore an amazingly
beautiful princess dress in ivory with a netted full skirt and a fitted
diamante bodice. Ellie also had gorgeous Jimmy Choo shoes to compliment her
dress in graphite diamanté and dramatic black patent stiletto heels. Her Bridesmaids
looked fab in navy floor length one shoulder dresses.
My assistant Sam met Ollie and his Groomsmen at the hotel
to get some shots of them looking brilliant in their grey morning suits before
the ceremony. Ollie arrived in a red vintage Jaguar and we got some great shots
of him with that!
The ceremony was lovely and had some great readings. Soon
Ellie & Ollie walked back up the aisle as Mr & Mrs and enjoyed a
celebratory glass of Pimms – as did their guests!
Even though the weather wasn't always on our side we still
took a drive out onto the golf course with Ellie & Ollie to get some
fantastic shots. Ollie drove the golf buggy pretty well!
Ellie & Ollie's wedding breakfast room was beautifully
decorated with swaths of white fabric and pretty diamante clips to the backs of
the chairs. The table decorations were classic and contemporary with white
flowers. The speeches were brilliant with lots of tales to be told of the stag
do in particular!
The party continued into the evening with a solo artist
singing and then a DJ and no shortage of dancing!
It was great to meet Ellie & Ollie's very welcoming
family and friends and be part of such a wonderful day and I wish Ellie &
Ollie all the very best for the future.
