It was great to be back at Blackstock
Barn to photography Katie & Seb's amazing day in mid March this year. Since
we last photographed at Blackstock they have had their venue developed a fair
bit and we were very impressed with the beautiful new Granary Barn which was
beautifully decorated in a vintage style for Katie and Seb's wedding complete
with mismatched crockery and beautiful lace table cloths and chair covers – all
reflecting the ‘vintage & lace' theme wonderfully.
Katie made the most of the bridal cottage available on site for bridal prep, which meant I was able to get some great ‘getting ready' shots of her and her three Bridesmaids. Katie's Bridesmaids were elegantly dressed in beautiful blush and Katie wore a stunning lace bridal gown.
My assistant Sam met up with Seb and his Best Men and soon to be Father in Law to get some shots of him before the ceremony. They were all looking sharp in light grey suits and pink buttonholes.
The ceremony took place in the Tudor Barn, which looked brilliant with lace-covered chairs with pretty pink roses in the backs. Fantastic readings and a beautiful ceremony sealed the deal and Katie & Seb soon walked back down the aisle as husband and wife!
The weather was beautifully sunny and warm for the time of year, which meant that I wasted no time getting started with the group shots and taking Katie and Seb out to the new Secret Garden area for some private Bride & Groom shots. The garden has lots of tasteful ivory iron garden furniture all nestled in the beautiful Sussex hill landscape.
The speeches were great at this wedding, very amusing and quite revealing on the behalf of the Groom!
The party continued into the evening with a singer and a DJ and lots of dancing along with laughter in the photo booth!
It was great to be part of such a warm and friendly day and I wish Katie & Seb all the very best for the future.
