Banntynes is a favourite venue of ours to photograph at so we were really pleased to be back there for Laura & Mark's lovely celebrations in early June. The weather was kind, which bearing in mind the unpredictability of the weather at the moment is not to be taken for granted – particularly as Laura & Mark had planned to get wed outside.
The ceremony space was decorated with navy blue bows in
keeping with the Royal Navy theme throughout linking back to the Groom's Royal
Navy status. The navy blue was set off with hints of bright red in the form of
large paper pom poms lining the aisle!
Laura wore a stunning floor length ivory gown with vintage
lace and antique diamanté and pearls. The back of the dress had tiny buttons
from top to bottom, which gave us some lovely 'back of the dress' shot
opportunities! Her Bridesmaids looked amazing in navy floor length dresses with
diamanté waists and her flower girls followed the theme with simple navy
dresses with bows on the front. All wore gorgeous diamante flip-flops. Lets not forget the Page Boy as well who wore
a little sailor outfit to go with his Dads!
Mark was looking sharp with his Groomsmen all in their
Royal Navy No.1 uniforms. The Royal Navy theme was carried throughout with not
only the colour scheme but also the décor at the wedding breakfast with name
cardholders made out of rope, anchors and messages in a bottle from guests
instead of the normal guest book!
After a lovely ceremony Laura & Mark had a very welcome
glass of champagne and walked across to the Montgomery Suite to start the
celebrations. The children played happily outside and the adults enjoyed welcome
drinks and chilled out on the patio outside the Montgomery Suite.
We whisked Laura & Mark off for a few private shots in
the grounds of Bannatynes making the most of the lovely gardens and secluded
areas to get some intimate shots without their guests.
The group shots were done in the gardens too and we
organised a great heart shape whole group shot, which is becoming one or our
signature group shots now!
The party continued into the evening and once the sun set
all the guests went outside and created a tunnel of sparklers which Laura &
Mark walked through - a great photo
opportunity!
It was great to be part of another lovey wedding and I wish
Laura & Mark all the very best for the future.
