Lucy & Tim - Pelham House, Lewes

June 11, 2016

It was exciting to be photographing at Pelham House Hotel in Lewes in June this year. It is a venue that we hadn't worked at before and had heard lots of good things about. The hotel is a boutique hotel nestled in the historic town of Lewes and lived up to its reputation of being a little quirky with its mix of original features in the hotel and newer contemporary art and sculptures in the beautiful gardens. Lots of great photo opportunities!

The ceremony space was decorated with turquoise blue bows in keeping with the colours of the bridesmaids and the butterfly theme was followed throughout on the seating plan, cake and on the name place cards. Lucy & Tim's cake was beautiful and very original with a flurry of paper painted turquoise butterflies skimming the tiers of the cake – lovely!

Lucy wore a stunning floor length gown with floral appliqué and diamanté. The back of the dress was open and very flattering with a long train, giving us some gorgeous ‘back of the dress' shot opportunities! Her Bridesmaids looked amazing in turquoise floor length dresses and her flower girls followed the theme with simple turquoise dresses with bows on the front. Lets not forget the Page Boy who opted for a Batman shirt on the day – deciding his wedding outfit wasn't quite right for the occasion!

Tim was looking sharp with his Groomsmen in grey suits and ivory buttonhole of Roses. Lucy and her Bridesmaids hair were styled beautifully by Charlene from The Blue Room in Seaford.

After a lovely ceremony Lucy & Tim had a very welcome glass of Pimms and enjoyed canapés and drinks with their guests out on the patio area looking over the gardens at Pelham House.

We whisked Lucy & Tim off for a few private shots in the grounds of Pelham House making the most of the lovely gardens and secluded areas to get some intimate shots without their guests.

The group shots along with great confetti and tossing the bouquet shot later in the day were done on the patio area dodging the heavy down pours and thunder!

The party continued into the evening with Lucy donning her dancing flip flops and throwing some shapes on the dance floor to a live band.

It was great to be part of another lovey wedding and I wish Lucy & Tim all the very best for the future.
