On one of the first really hot days of the year we joined Robyn & Mike at their amazing wedding at Upwalthams Barn, near Chichester. Upwalthams is a beautiful barn venue with court yard gardens and a lovely ceremony room and large function hall. Jason met Robyn at Upwalthams where they have some beautiful rooms for the Bride to get ready in. This made for some stunning bridal prep shots taken with Robyn's parents and her Bridesmaids.
Robyn wore a traditional ivory strapless bridal gown with a fitted drop waist bodice that had lots of intricate bead work on. She looked amazing with her hair swept up and gorgeous diamonte drop earrings and matching necklace. Her Bridesmaids wore deep purple floor length dresses with appliqué detail to the top of the dresses and cap sleeves. Robyn and her Bridesmaids held amazing bouquets of deep purples, pinks and reds in a mixture of flowers.
Sam arrived in plenty of time to get some detail shots of the barns. Flowers were adorned everywhere you looked in the form of table bouquets and arches of flowers over doorways. The couple had decorated parts of the barn with photos of them growing up and their time together as a couple. The wedding breakfast room was decorated in a rustic theme with lots of flowers, tree trunk centre pieces and lots of little fun details like guest name places in tiny wooden discs with their names on. The cake was spectacular and reflected the Grooms love for RallyCross as it was both a traditional tiered white cake with flowers decorating it as well as a Rally Cross car! That lit up! Giant LOVE letters lit up the wedding breakfast room too!
Soon the Groom arrived at the venue in a VW Camper Van supplied by www.deluxeweddinghire.co.uk. The Groom and his Groomsmen looked very sharp in grey "tails" and had flower button holes in dark reds and purples to match the Bride and Bridesmaids bouquets. They had matching cufflinks and socks too so of course we took the obligatory 'sock shot'!
The ceremony was really lovely with lots of happy tears and soon Robyn & Mike walked out to showers of confetti and lots of celebratory fizz! We gave them time to mingle a bit while we got lots of natural shots and then we whisked them away to get some shots of them on their own up on the hills that surround Upwalthams Barns.
Soon it was time for Robyn & Mike and their guests to sit and enjoy their wedding breakfast food and then on to the speeches which were brilliant with lots of laughs. The day progressed on to chilled out relaxing in the snug area at the venue and just enjoying the surroundings until it was time to get their dancing shoes on!
We had a brilliant day with Robyn & Mike and wish them much happiness for the future.
