Charlene & Samuel - English Wine Centre & Cuckmere Barns, Berwick

October 1, 2016

Looking at Charlene & Sam's photos you'd be fooled into thinking that it was a beautiful sunny day in early October this year for their wedding at The English Wine Centre & Cuckmere Barns near Alfriston......however it bucketed down most of the morning during the bridal preparation and then the sun shone for Charlene & Sam's nuptials and celebrations in the afternoon!

The day started with Sam meeting Charlene for bridal prep shots in the lovely lodges at The English Wine Centre. Charlene was getting ready with her Bridesmaids and parents and just generally chilling out in preparation for her big day. Charlene was one of the most relaxed Brides we have worked with and was even putting her hair dressing skills to good use getting her Bridesmaids hair ready! Later Charlene did get pampered herself with Lucy from The Blue Room in Seaford doing her hair for her which was in a pretty up-do with a gorgeous tiara. Charlene wore a stunning floor length bridal gown with semi sheer straps with floral embroidery on and a deep V statement back. Her Bridesmaids wore floor length chiffon dresses in a heather grey with pretty cap sleeves and a semi sheer shoulder feature. All the girls looked amazing!

Not to be outdone Sam and his Groomsmen looked great in blue slim fit suits and lovely ivory Rose button holes and matching cufflinks. The flowers at Charlene & Sam's wedding were really quite beautiful supplied by Church Lane Flowers in Seaford. Charlene and her Bridesmaids had lovely bouquets of pale pink roses both in full bloom and in bud surrounded by other autumnal flower,  hand tied with string. They looked amazing and really made a statement in the country setting of the Barn.

Things started to hot up when Sam arrived in a black Mustang which was surprise transport as a gift from the Bride. Jason got some great shots of Sam arriving and then made the most of the car hanging around for some shots with his Groomsmen and then later, with the Bride & Groom themselves. Soon we were into the ceremony where Sam & Charlene proudly said their vows and it wasn't long before they were walking back up the aisle having sealed the deal!

With the good weather continuing to hold we quickly got on with the more formal group shots and then some private shots of the Bride & Groom in the lovely landscaped gardens of The English Wine Centre. It wasn't long before we were welcoming Sam & Charlene into the marquee for the wedding breakfast. Sam & Charlene had decorated the marquee with simple pink roses and gypsophila in jugs as centre pieces along with a unique touch which was framed photos of their parents wedding days. Through the centre of the marquee there were lots of pink and grey paper ball balls which were a really effective way of decorating the space. The food and drink was all locally sourced produce and English Regional wines which very much kept to the vintage, country theme of the day. The speeches were great, lots of laughs and then it was into the evening celebrations with lots of dancing and kicking up of heels!

We had a great day and really enjoyed meeting Charlene & Sam's very welcoming friends and family.

All the very best for the future Charlene & Sam.

Jason
