Kirsty & Robert - St Mary Star of the Sea R.C. Church, Hastings & Leeford Place Hotel, Battle

August 20, 2016

On a very windy but most importantly DRY day in late August this year we had the pleasure of photographing Kirsty & Robert's beautiful wedding at St Mary Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church in Hastings Old Town and then afterwards for celebrations at Leeford Place Hotel, Battle.

Kirsty & Robert's wedding was a fantastic day starting with bridal preparation shots at Kirsty's home where Kirsty was having her hair and makeup done by Grace Benson. Kirsty wore a stunning floor length ivory gown with delicate floral detail and a criss cross tie up back. Kirsty held a gorgeous bouquet of blush pink and pale green roses. The pale green picked out the colour of her bridesmaids flowing chiffon dresses. The bridesmaids wore lovely diamante bejewelled flip flops instead of the traditional heels which was a great twist and loads more comfortable I'm sure!

Robert wore a sharp blue slim fit suit and picked out the bridesmaid dress colour in his tie. He wore a beautiful pale pink rose as his button hole.

The church was decorated with simple white gypsophila on the pew ends and the order of service continued the theme in pale pastel shades with roses printed on them.

The service was lovely and soon the bride & groom walked back up the aisle with huge grins as the new Mr & Mrs! Before joining their guests at Leeford Place, Kirsty & Robert stopped off at Battle Abbey for some lovely private shots in front of the Abbey. Once at Leeford they were greeted with glasses of bubbles and lots of confetti throwing from their friends and family.

The wedding breakfast room was decorated beautifully by Karen Austin Designs with swathes of chiffon ivory fabric covering the walls and ceiling and lots of stunning flowers on real log centre pieces in the colours of the wedding. Everywhere you looked there were flowers, just lovely!

The day seemed to fly by and soon we had completed the group shots, sneaked in a few more private bride & groom shots in the grounds of Leeford Place and then into the wedding breakfast to speeches and cutting of the cake.

Kirsty & Robert finished off the day with an evening of fun and dancing with family and friends who were treated to a chocolate fountain and all joined in the fun with a photo booth Kirsty & Robert had put together with a polaroid camera to get guests involved!

It was a great day and we really enjoyed capturing Kirsty & Robert's amazing wedding day and wish them all the very best for what I am sure will be a long and happy marriage.

All the best

Jason
